The show that puts the pleasure in the term “guilty pleasure,” Emily in Paris, is back for another round of unapologetically ridiculous storylines, over-the-top outfits, and hot love interests. After a successful season two, Netflix ordered up two more seasons of the Darren Star-created series, meaning we’re getting a lot more Emily and a lot more Paris over the next few years. It's giving how I dressed my Bratz dolls when I was 9. It's giving "Mom, no, I will wear this camouflage hot pink skirt with a turquoise jacket because I invented fashion" to the "Mom, why on Earth would you let me wear this in public" pipeline. If I look at this any longer, I will burst into tears. It's really doing a lot and ages Emily down; I would not be wearing this ensemble at 25, but at 13 it definitely would have been a must-have for me.

This is amazing to be able to have as a reference if you’re an Emily in Paris fan. I’m all about trying to bring some of her fresh fashions into my life. Bow dresses have been trending since AREA NYC launched them.

Mindy , meanwhile shines in a gold suit with silver platform heels of her own. One of the prints I'm begging Emily to let go of is houndstooth, particularly when combined with a finer line pattern of Roman statues . The pink denim jacket is a no-no, especially underneath a black-and-white satin varsity jacket. Personally, I'm very biased against fringe, so this is an automatic "no" from me. Polka dots died in 2011, and I believe we should let them rest in peace. The jacket is cute, but — once again — paired with a top that has a cartoon face and protruding polka dot bow is not...très chic.
It’s true there are outfits that pull her up short; when she sees some combinations she says, “Really? If it’s just the least bit disturbing, I know it’s good. If she’s not shocked, I say, “It must still be too simple.” We try a lot of things, I put together catalogs of outfits to show her and from that she decides which she wants to try, what speaks to her. They trust me and they trust Patricia, and it’s wonderful to work that way, because we can take it a little further every time. I also found her exact yellow, orange and white bustier and skirt matching set which I bought for pool parties this Summer.

On one of their several outings, Emily sports this tweed Balmain skirt, ruffled red crop top, and Roger Vivier bag. It’s a surprisingly simple look for the oft over-the-top Emily, but with that extra dash of scarlet, it’s enough to catch Alfie’s attention. This novelty satin overcoat is reminiscent of Charlotte's Prada lipstick skirt made famous on Sex And The City and perfect for showing off what a fun date she is to her client-cum-new boyfriend. Wisely, Em wore black underneath as to not distract from the footwear-strewn outerwear. Clearly, black is not boring when the dress comes with a stand-alone bejeweled collar which doubles as a necklace.
This is the first business casual dress we see Emily in, while she's still in Chicago. Later on, she pairs it with a light pink overcoat, which helps distract from the print. However, it's the first in a long line of monochromatic tones that Emily decides to wear together for reasons that are unknown to me. I'll give Emily some points here since this is definitely an outfit I would have worn if I had the confidence to back in 2015. The tank crop top is cute, but I might have paired it with a maxi skirt instead of traditional boot-cut jeans.
One of the few times Emily's jackets disappoint.
I actually preferred Mindys knockout strapless neon yellow gown she wears to Emily’s birthday party to Emily’s bow dress. Although it’s sold out, I’ve linked lots of alternatives to Mindys neon strapless dress. The tailored high waisted pink shorts and yellow off the shoulder top Mindy Chen wears for her St Tropez cafe photo is so fun. I can imagine wearing this anywhere in Europe or to a pool party or al fresco lunch. Mindy’s his/hers half tux-half sexy showgirl costume is custom made by The Blondes for her performance during her stint as Madame Pipi.
Okay, we know we chastised one of the outfits for being too on-the-nose earlier, but this one is a bit gorgeous, so we're willing to make an exception. We're kind of into this printed coat, which, for a change, isn't being attacked with a printed bucket hat and a printed dress and a printed... With this mini prom dress, you can sparkle up wherever you go and create the best prom/party memory. One aspect of Camille’s wardrobe we’re still pondering is her footwear, which mostly takes cues from the West — though we’re not complaining.
Saint Laurent Black Dress
Fans know that Emily’s style has always been bright and colorful. In Season 1, however, she wore more pastel shades like this purple moto jacket with a floral print dress and white booties. Perhaps the more muted tones conveyed her distress in having to start a new job in a foreign city.
I'm not sure, but it is deeply unsettling and giving me a headache. But a major caveat is the fact that Emily once again pares the dress with the chunkiest belt known to all of mankind. If given the opportunity, I would take legal action against the aforementioned belt. As for what’s next in Emily’s fashion future, Fitoussi reveals she already has plans for season 3—even if Netflix has yet to officially announce the next chapter. If all goes as Fitoussi hopes, she’ll be giving Emily and the cast’s wardrobes an eco-friendly refresh.
